One of the strongest Slovenian brands Gorenje has recently entered the luxury market with a very special high-end fridge-freezer. They took a fridge designed by Ora-Ito and covered it with thousands of Swarovski crystals. The head of Gorenje marketing says the inspiration came from the latest material-merging trends.

This extravagant piece is not just an elegant black appliance. It has an LCD touchscreen that allows you to
- operate integrated radio tuner,
- check recipes and their caloric content information,
- get an advice on storing particular types of food,
- store up to six 40-second voice messages,
- set the temperature …
This Ora-ito refrigerator is available with 3,500 or 7,000 crystals and this year they are also launching a limited edition with 26,000 crystals. I’m not really sure about the price, but the most expensive was sold at $110,000 to a Russian mogul Rustam Tarik.
Speaking of Russians … I’ve just heard a funny joke:
Boris: “Look at my new tie, Yevgeniy! I’ve just bought it for 500 bucks!”
Yevgeniy: “Ugh. My friend!!! Are you crazy! At the corner you could get a tie for 800!”
