Krug champagne, Clos du Mesnil 1995 (a bottle for $750) is supposed to be the most expensive luxury champagne in the world. It originates from a small chardonnay vineyard in France. Only 12,624 bottles were produced.
Champagne Krug Clos du Mesnil is made of the pure Chardonnay with mineral aromas combined with the taste of honey. Krug Clos du Mesnil is surprising, sublime. Grapes come from a very special vineyard covering only 1.85 ha surrounded by a stone wall since 1698.
Vineyard Clos du Mesnil has a very special micro climate. The Krugs purchased it in 1971. They renovated and replanted it slowly, knowing that best champagne has grapes of different ages.
Now they have it. Krug Clos du Mesnil is one of the best champagne’s in the world and also one of the most expensive one.
