This was my first encounter with these wonderful beings in their natural environment. We were just returning from a whole day sailing trip in a Croatian sea region and then all of a sudden, we spot a bunch of dolphins.
We pointed our sailing boat toward them and when they noticed us they wanted to play with our boat. The were swimming and jumping next to the boat. The faster we went, the more they seemed to enjoy it. They are really smart animals. And meeting them is a truly priceless luxury experience. A friend even wanted to jump into the water to swim with the dolphins but we weren’t sure if this is really smart since some people report dolphins might get to curious or even violent toward swimmers.

Dolphins are gentle animals. And true, they are playful and intelligent beings. Hardcore animal activists though does not like the idea of people going to the animals niche since it disrupts their natural habitat. Oh well, at least you’ve seen them! :)
